Profesional acting career started as 16 years old lad (1953) in movie Sinji galeb (part of Pero, credited as Darko Slivnjak) directed by famous Croatian director Branko Bauer. 1950-1953 member of amateur group which is today Zagrebacko kazaliste mladih (Zagrebian Theatre of Youngsters); 1953-1957 student at The Academy of Dramatic Arts in Zagreb; 1957 - 1973 permanent member of Zagrebian Drama Theatre (today City Drama Theatre Gavella); 1970 - 1973 professor at the Academy of Dramatic Arts in Zagreb. 1973 - 1974 manager and director of Drama department of Croatian National Theatre in Osijek; 1974 - 1977 free-lance and at the same time member of Teater &td in Zagreb. - Bozidar Oreskovic, Croatian actor (Zagreb, August 21, 1942 - Kozjaca, July 9, 2010) was doyen of the Croatian National Theater in Zagreb, and the public remembers him from numerous film and television roles. His appearance, the persuasiveness of theatrical testimony and the ability to transform himself into the most diverse roles formed him, as an extremely interesting actor, whose every exit on the stage was particularly noted. With extraordinary recitative temperament, striking appearance, peculiar color of the voice and acting expression, he contributed to the fullness and intuition of the characters he interpreted and to the entire theatrical representation in which he participated.
He completed his studies at the Zagreb Academy of Dramatic Arts in 1965, and was a member of the Zagreb National Theater from now on. Some significant roles: Joe (H. Pinter, Il ritorno), Pomet (M. Ivan Kusan was born in a family of Jaksa Kusan, respected bookstore owner with many friends and contact among the creme of Sarajevo intelligentsia. In 1939 the family settled in Zagreb where Ivan, at the age of 10, wrote his first novel. His writing talent coincided with the talent for visual arts as well as his leaning towards world travel. All those tendencies would make him very popular and internationally recognized children's book writer with first novel being published in 1956. After that, Kusan worked on the Zagreb radio-station. Between 1980 and his retirement in 1994 he taught Dramaturgy at Zagreb Drama Academy.
